{"id":312,"date":"2017-05-09T14:10:59","date_gmt":"2017-05-09T20:10:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/2017.slc.wordcamp.org\/?p=312"},"modified":"2017-05-08T14:26:46","modified_gmt":"2017-05-08T20:26:46","slug":"about-the-venue","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/slc.wordcamp.org\/2017\/about-the-venue\/","title":{"rendered":"About the Venue"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>After 3 years at the historic City &amp; County building in downtown Salt Lake City, we&#8217;re excited to be trying a new venue &#8212; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cs1893.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow\">Church &amp; State<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Church &amp; State<\/strong> is a community-focussed coworking space and incubator in the heart of downtown SLC, just a block away from our old location and right across the street from the Salt Lake Main Library and the Leonardo Museum. When I spoke with them and visited the site, their dedication to\u00a0<em>building a community<\/em> rather than simply making money resonated with me as an open source advocate and WordCamp organizer &#8212; I could tell we were speaking the same language.<\/p>\n<p>The building is a gorgeous, historic church building that has been added to over the decades. Since it is a historic building, accessibility may be\u00a0an issue, so please <a href=\"https:\/\/2017.slc.wordcamp.org\/contact\/\">let us know<\/a> if you are physically disabled and require special assistance.
