Steph Wells is the lead developer of Strategy11- a company specializing in WordPress plugins. Formidable forms and Display Widgets are a few of their most popular projects. She started her career as a Registered Nurse, and later self-taught herself Ruby on Rails and PHP after the first little bundle-of-joy came along in 2007. In less than four years, the Wells team graduated from client work with a self-sustaining plugin of their own.
Jared Gerlach
After learning about CMS’s my last semester in college I realized that it would be a lot easier to build a website using a framework. I originally learned Joomla, but after learning WordPress I never looked back. I am currently self employed as a freelance web developer. WordPress makes building websites fun and easy.
Garth Mortensen
Garth is a full stack/perl developer at Bluehost. Previous to his current position I was the WordPress Project Manager, in which role he managed all WordPress related projects at Bluehost. Garth is still very involved in WordPress and regularly contributes to WordPress core.
Brent Jacobsen
Brent is the founding partner of WPSlopes, a WordPress website agency. Brent has an MBA from a top 25 business school, and focuses on helping businesses grow through growth hacking and marketing technologies. Brent has been using WordPress since 2005.
Joel Jenkins
After an unexpected layoff from NuSkin 10 years ago Joel fell into Website Design and hasn’t looked back. Currently he is Freelance for his own LLC and focuses on Design & Development of Websites and iOS Apps. He’s been hacking around WordPress for about 5 years now, and his bread and butter are full custom designs and from-scratch WordPress themes for his clients. He also has an App called FiveThings in the iOS App Store (http://apple.co/1dn0wmV ) that he designed and built himself that is currently ranked somewhere in the bottom millions. Joel is a Utah native and lives in Pleasant Grove with his wife and 1.75 children (#2 is due October 15). He loves being creative, Toyota Land Cruisers, Cruises, and Japan. Dovy Paukstys
Dovy Paukstys is co-founder and the lead developer of Redux Framework, the most widely used option framework for WordPress. He works daily with developers from all over the globe. With the help of Redux, developers have grossed over $14 million in the Envato marketplaces alone. Dovy has been actively designing products and webistes since 1999, making the switch to WordPress in 2007. He’s passionate about UX and open source, bringing that passion into any project he undertakes. When he’s not coding, his greatest joys are his wife and five children.
Lindsay Bayuk
Lindsay Bayuk does product at Pure Chat where they empower small businesses to engage website visitors and generate leads with live chat. She was previously the Director of Product at Infusionsoft and was responsible for understanding the small business market, creating a data-driven product roadmap, and working closely with product design/development to solve market problems. Her teams were the unifying force behind Infusionsoft’s product strategy and execution from market research to product launch. She often speaks and writes about product and leadership for software companies. She resides in Phoenix, Arizona, and in her free time (likely with iPhone in hand) you can find her taking in cultural and culinary delights.

I’ve been programming since middle school doing my own projects and freelancing. I ran my own little web development company for 6 years, mostly doing WordPress sites for clients. After news that my wife was pregnant, I hung up my self employed spurs and got a “real” job. Now, I work for MOJO Marketplace as their Senior Software Engineer. Our system handles thousands of WordPress installs every month.

Jeff Stieler
Jeff has been working with WordPress since 2009, mostly in an agency setting building applications for clients like CBS, The Pioneer Woman, and Sony. He has contributed to the WordPress iOS app, WordPress Core, and several WordPress community plugins. Jeff has led development on projects as small as corporate blogs to large digital publishing systems for clients like Tribune and Bloomberg.
Shayda Torabi
Shayda Torabi is a storyteller, digital marketer, and lover of all things WordPress. From the people to the platform, she’s been using WordPress since 2004 and hasn’t looked back. Working at WP Engine as part of their Marketing team, Shayda focuses on building authentic relationships with the amazing people who make up the WordPress community. Having been to over 30 WordCamps all over the world from Sevilla to Chicago to San Francisco, one thing has remained constant, the generosity of the people of WordPress. Ipstenu (Mika Epstein)
Mika (実佳) Ariela Epstein is better known as Ipstenu, the Half-Elf Support Rogue. Working for DreamHost, specializing in WordPress hosting (aka ‘WordPress Guru’), she solves any WordPress problem that comes up, trains everyone from support to marketing in why WordPress makes your life better, and still finds time to slash unanswered WordPress.org forum threads by night and wrangle plugins by day. A self-taught guru on Multisite and .htaccess, she has a passion for writing and technology and blogs about them whenever possible.
The rumor that she has dice in her purse and tinfoil in her hats is in a constant state of Schrödinger proofs.
Angela Bowman
Angela Bowman has been using WordPress since 2007 creating custom-designed websites for artists, nonprofits, and small businesses. She teaches several WordPress classes in Colorado including front-end theme coding, search engine optimization, image galleries, artist portfolios, and security. She is passionate about evangelizing WordPress best practices for building, maintaining, and securing WordPress sites. She co-organizes a monthly Meetup.com group for WordPress Builders in Boulder. When she isn’t online, she’d prefer to be at tree line.
Chris Reynolds
Chris has been working full-time with WordPress since 2007. Currently, he is a WordPress developer for WebDevStudios where he’s built plugins and back-end functionality for high profile projects like Microsoft, the National Park Service and Motortrend. Chris is also the author of many training courses on WordPress and web development on Pluralsight. When he’s not coding, he might be found at Rio Tinto Stadium supporting Real Salt Lake.
Brady Nord
Brady Nord is the co-founder of MOJONESS Inc., which includes the buy and sell marketplaces MOJO-Themes, and MOJO Marketplace. He graduated from the University of Utah in 2010, and shortly after, began building MOJO with his friend and business partner JR Farr. In early 2013, they sold MOJONESS to EIG, which owns brands such as HostGator and Bluehost. Currently, he acts as the MOJO Marketplace product owner, and leads the development team. When not working, he loves spending time with his wife and kids in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Suzette Franck
Suzette Franck has been in web development for over twenty years; she started making hand-coded HTML websites on geocities with font tags and tables back in 1995. Since then, she has taught herself CSS, Sass, PHP, MySQL, as well as becoming a WordPress expert; evangelizing and presenting at over twenty-five WordCamps across the country and multiple WordPress meetups in Southern California where she resides, about all aspects of building and maintaining sites on WordPress. She is currently an HTML and CSS instructor with Girl Develop It where she teaches young women from diverse backgrounds about the basics of web coding.
Suzette is passionate about WordPress the application as well as the WordPress Open Source Community, and loves to code and teach others the wonders of WordPress. She is a purveyor of lowbrow art, and when she is not WordPressing, she is painting or visiting Los Angeles art galleries to add more work to her growing art collection.

In May 2014, Dre Armeda announced that he was stepping down as CEO of Sucuri, Inc., a business that he started 4 years ago and turned into a very successful multi-million dollar, 30+ employee company that services millions of unique monthly scans, monitors thousands of websites, and makes sure that 100′s of websites are cleared of malware daily. As a CISSP, Dre is a recognized expert in the field of Information Security.
Dre’s current title is VP of Operations at WebDevStudios where he focuses on organizational and business development, talent development and strategy.
