Thank You To Everyone

WordCamp SLC 2012 was another great event.  Thank you everyone who came out, thank you to our sponsors, and thank you to all those who presented.  What makes this event so much fun is having everyone come together for one day to cover the entire range of WordPress topics.

Thank you to everyone.

Minor Schedule Updates

There were a few minor updates to the schedule this morning, please double check the times for each session you are planning to attend.

Getting Ready For Saturday

This is it, just one more day until WordCamp SLC 2012. Here area a few notes as we get ready for Saturday morning:

  • The recommended parking lot is in yellow on the first map shown on the Location page
  • Check in starts at 8:30am, with a welcome at 9:15am and the first sessions starting at 9:30am
  • We’ll have water and muffins to snack on in the morning and through out the day
  • If you registered on September 5th or earlier we’ll have a shirt for you.  If you registered after that date you can pick up a shirt at the end of the day (we should have enough, but no guarantee that it will be in the size you want)
  • Lunch is coming in from The Sugarhouse BBQ company, and we’ll have veggie pizzas from The Pie for those that wanted a vegetarian option

Looking forward to another exciting WordCamp SLC!

Our Sponsors: Sticker Giant

Stickers!  If you haven’t seen them yet you need to go take a quick look at the sticker preview post from Velda.  I’m excited to have Sticker Giant on our list of sponsors this year, they are sending us stickers based on those designs.  Be honest, who couldn’t use more stickers?  Want custom stickers for your next event or product?  Go check out Sticker Giant.

Thank you to Sticker Giant for sponsoring WordCamp SLC 2012, I’m looking forward to seeing how the stickers turned out.

Our Sponsors: PageLines

Looking for a theme with more options than you can count combined with drag and drop flexibility?  Then you need to checkout PageLines.  Need even more?  Version 2.0 introduced a marketplace where you can purchase plugins to expand the capabilities even further.

PageLines, thank you for sponsoring WordCamp SLC 2012.

Our Sponsors: Punchline Advertising

Sure Punchline  does web development, with an emphasis on WordPress, but that is just part of what they offer.  They’ll help you produce and manage advertising in print, radio, television, and the web.  I guess that is why they describe themselves as “a full-service advertising agency”.  If you have advertising needs they can help.

Thank you to Punchline for sponsoring WordCamp SLC 2012.

Our Sponsors: Event Espresso

Built right here in Utah, Event Espresso is back for another year of sponsoring WordCamp SLC.  This event registration and management plugin for WordPress aims to provide business and organization leaders with powerful tools to run their event.  In addition to the standard set of features there are optional plugins to provide even more capabilities.

Thanks again to Event Espresso for sponsoring WordCamp SLC 2012!

Our Sponsors: Pole Vault Media

If you’ve watched any of the WordCamp SCL 2011 videos ( not sure why the site still says WordCamp Utah, we need to ask them to update that ) you have Pole Vault Media to thank for that.  They recorded all of the 2011 sessions and are back again to record the 2012 sessions.  It takes a fair bit of work to record sessions in both rooms and edit the videos afterwards, but the result is great, especially for those who aren’t able to make it out to SLC.

Pole Vault Media is a student run organization right on the University of Utah campus.  In addition to video work they also do web design & development.  I’m also told they eat lots of cereal.

Thanks again to Pole Vault Media for recording all of the sessions again this year so that we can submit them to WordPress.tv for all to enjoy.

Our Sponsors: CodePoet

CodePoet is an effort by Automattic to provide more resources to people who build WordPress sites.  The site includes articles ranging from HTML & CSS to theme development to security.  No matter your experience level CodePoet improve your WordPress skills and know how.

Getting the word out about these resources includes sponsoring WordCamp SLC 2012, for which we are very grateful.
